Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow was established in the year 1886 by Ms. Isabella Thoburn when Miss Thoburn’s School was renamed to Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow (also known as Isabella Thoburn Degree College). The institute was formerly known as Lucknow Women’s College later on after the death of Ms. Isabella Thoburn, in order to honour her the college was renamed to Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow. Earlier the college was affiliated to Allahabad University and later on it got affiliated to Lucknow University. The institute offers Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLISc) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) to the students.
