Ithaya Jyothi College of Nursing, Tirunelveli was started in the year 2011 to fulfill the needs of the nursing education in Tamil Nadu. Since its inception this affiliated college is approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and aims at offering quality nursing education for female students only. Located at an area of 18.1 acres; the college has a total admission of 187 students and employs faculty of 27 in its campus. There is only one course offered at Ithaya Jyothi College of Nursing that is B.Sc Nursing that comes with a nursing care specialty.

Ithaya Jyothi College of Nursing has campus, which equipped with all facilities and resources as are necessary for the students in a modern college. The library is staffed and manned by a professional librarian and contains 3 100 books and the institution subscribes to ten national magazines and five international magazines. Currently, the college has links with several hospitals most of which include ESI Hospital,Shifa Hospital, Rosemary Hospital, & CSI Jeyaraj Annapackiam Hospital and others so as to expose the students to a variety of practical sessions.
