J.D. Birla Institute- Department of Management, Kolkata was established in the year 1962. It is a well-known educational institution located in the central part of Kolkata, West Bengal. This coed institute is an affiliated college offering decent education in the field of management. Having 11 faculty members, the institute focuses on offering a sound learning environment for future business executives. The Department of Management is located at 1 Moira Street, Kolkata - 700017, which makes students from almost every part of the city reach quite easily.

The Institute has several facilities to help the students in their learning process: The LRC or Learning Resource Centre of the institute functions like a library facility with lots of reference books on professional journals, magazines, and newspapers on different aspects of management studies. There are 46 computers present in the LRC, which is fitted with internet access. 

This is used by the students for carrying on research work and study. Along with these, the institute has a medical facility with a first-aid centre, sports facility, and a well-equipped cafeteria for all the students and staff. The campus is fully WiFi enabled that enables smooth connectivity for academic purposes. Events and seminars are allowed in the auditorium present within the campus while the departmental laboratories are useful for practical learning.
