J.D. Women's College, located in Patna, was founded as early as 1971. The college was established on an area of 2.41 acres and offers 39 diversified courses in 9 degrees. J.D. Women's College in Bihar imparts knowledge to a total of 6292 students and is aided by a faculty force of around 32 qualified teachers. The mission with which J.D. Women's College works is providing quality education and rendering academic service to only female students. The college has also been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to maintain the standard of quality education and excellent academics.

For an MBA, the WRTU Ascent Management School is to be contacted in respect to their individual admission procedures, whereas candidates for graduate programs must produce their percentile in the national-level entrance examinations such as CMAT, MAT, CAT, or XAT. For the shortlisted candidates, Group Discussion and Personal Interview are conducted by the college, based on the marks obtained by the candidates in their entrance test.
