Jagadish Chandra Basu Sikshak Sikshan Mahavidyalaya is one of the colleges affiliated with imparting teacher education in Howrah, West Bengal. Established back in the year 2005, this institution has nearly two decades of grooming future teachers. The college covers 5.75 acres of lush verdure that provides the most ideal atmosphere for learning and growth.

Jagadish Chandra Basu Sikshak Sikshan Mahavidyalaya offers two specialized education courses: B. Ed and B. PE. Both these courses are two-year full-time courses, with an approved intake of 100 students each.

The admission procedure at the Jagadish Chandra Basu Sikshak Sikshan Mahavidyalaya is in the lines prescribed by WBUTTEPA and WBBPE. However, a stipulation has been made, by the NCTE, for all of the programs. No age bar is there to be eligible to B.Ed course. The Reservation policies of the Government of West Bengal, WBUTTEPA, and NCTE are adhered to by granting some reservations to candidates falling within SC, ST, OBC, and PH categories. Candidates falling within such categories shall have to produce certificates from appropriate authorities to take relaxation regarding marks as well as reserved seats also. Admission to B.P.Ed shall be made strictly on merit as determined solely through an entrance examination consisting of a sports proficiency test, physical fitness test, and marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
