Jagat Taran Girls' Degree College, Allahabad is one of the leading girls' institutions within the city. Founded in 1975, the college was born out of the idea of educating women. It is a constituent college and the campus is situated at George Town, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The college offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The 2.4 acres campus accommodates a total of 3,367 students, all female. The college boasts a strong 40 faculty members and a total of 11 courses run under its five degrees, with specialization in Sanskrit, Hindi, Geography, and Economics.

Jagat Taran Girls' Degree College is a college that offers a wide span of academic programs. A total of 11 courses comprise this college, including undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs along with doctoral programs. The college offers BA and B.Com Self Finance programs at an undergraduate level of the programs. At the master's level, a student can opt for an MA in Economics, Sanskrit, Hindi, and Geography. The college also offers doctoral degrees (Ph.D.) in Sanskrit, Economics, Geography, and Hindi. Besides this, there is also a course in Diploma of Computer Applications (DCA). In all, the intake for students in the institution is 2,564 where undergraduate programs count 3,198 students and postgraduate programs have intake of 169 students.
