Jaipur Institute of Polytechnic and Technology was founded in the year 2010. This affiliated college is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), for providing quality technical education exclusively. JIPT has three diploma courses in engineering fields, with 547 students in total and 33 faculties. The focus towards delivering industry-oriented education makes the institute popular among the young generation who wants to build a career in engineering.

Some of the facilities include that are in JIPT aim at making learning easier for the students. The college library also acts as an information centre through which the students can access resources required for scholarly processes. High quality study and research laboratories and student workshops based on department needs allow the students engage in learning by experimenting on existing theories acquired from academic halls. The institute has good IT facilities through which students can always be updated on latest technologies. For the needs of the members of JIPT, there is a health centre including first aid building. In addition, the college has also accommodated guest house or waiting area for the visiting faculty and the students’ family members being   a hospitality college.

The institute is accredited to provide the 3 full time diploma programmes that take three years each. These include Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. The three intakes which have been approved by the competent authorities include Civil and Electrical Engineering with an intake of 108 and Mechanical Engineering programme with a capacity of 54. These diverse courses allow the students to select a specialisation of his or her choice as per our career goals.
