Jaleswar College, Tapoban, was established in the year 1981 under Gauhati University which is situated in Goalpara of Assam. The campus of this school occupies an area of 16 acres and is ready, as co-educational school, to transform the young generation for more than forty years. The college has an enrolment of three hundred and ninety eight and has a strong teaching force of thirty six faculty members. In its academic programme, nine courses are taught in two recognised degrees, these include, different major fields in Bachelor of Arts (BA).
