Hi Parag,
Though the cut-off score varies every year as per the difficulty level of the exam, percentile cut-off remains same. In CET 2017, score corresponding to 99.92%tile was around 125 marks whereas in CET 2018 it increased to 140 marks. So instead of focusing on the cut-off score, try to get required percentile. So that you can easily get the admission.
Best Of Luck!
Thank you for Contacting Carrier360.
Hi Shubham,
The cut off of CET is different for Home University Seats (HU Seats) and Other Than Home University Seats (OHU Seats). Assuming that you meant OBC category, the approximate cut-off percentile last year were as below:
JBIMS 99.5 (OBC HU)
SIMSREE 98.81 (OBC HU), 99.5 (OBC OHU)
SIMSREE 99.19 (OBC HU)
Best Wishes!
HI,
JBIMS will release the CAT, GMAT and MAH-CET cutoff for PG management courses soon. Indian students can only apply either through CAT scores or MAH-CET scores. Meanwhile, candidates can check the expected cutoff here -
Reserved (SC/ST/OBC)
CAT Score (Percentile)--75
MH-CET Score (Percentile)--90
General
CAT Score (Percentile)--95
MH-CET Score (Percentile)--95.37
hi,
JBIMS to accept only CAT, CMAT & MAH-CET scores
MAT scores are not taken into consideration
JBIMS conducts its admission process on the basis of either CAT, MAH-CET or GMAT scores. Indian students can only apply either through CAT scores or MAH-CET scores. The institute has a defined cutoff basis which the students are streamlined before calling them for the JBIMS selection process.
Hi Aditya,
First of all many many congratulations of scoring such a nice score. You can apply many good colleges like-
1) Goa Institute of Management
2) KJ Somaiya institute of management and research
3) Jamnalal Bajaj Institute Of Management Studies (JBIMS)
These 3 are the top colleges which you can apply for.
wish you all the best.
Dear Omha
Answer: Depends.
MMS-CET, the state level entrance exam for admission to MMS programs affiliated to universities in Maharashtra, is the gateway to the top colleges like JBIMS, PUMBA, K J Somaiya, etc. Aside from public colleges, many renowned private colleges like Welingkar also accept CET scores for admission.
To get admission in the top institutes of the state through CET, one has to go through two processes:
Once the candidate is done with the exam, he/she need to complete CAP rounds which involves:
There is not a fixed number of CAP rounds, some year it is 3+1, other times 2+1, where 1 is the last round which can be applied by all, only with few exceptions. That is a long procedure and is irrelevant to the question.
Now let's have a look at the eligibility criteria for appearing in MBA/MMS-CET:
So, considering you've 50%+ at hand, you're an eligible candidate to appear for the exam. You're in benefit as ranking is based only on CET scores, and not on both CET+boards which would have affected your ranking a big deal.
The admission process is primarily based on your ranking, so as long as you're on top in the ranking (like, less than 25 for JBIMS) your chances of getting admitted is strong. However, whether or not you'll be admitted into your preferred college, that depends on the college itself and the rank you score in the test. Most top B-schools frown upon low academic scores (but since I don't know what is your actual performance, I can't tell exactly how it would make much difference), but if your rank is, say less than 5, why would they want to lose such a capable candidate?
Here's a fact you need to consider, there is more competition in CET than there is in, say, CAT. Every year, CAT is taken by 50,000 aspirants whereas in CET, more than 75,000, hence more brains and struggles to get better rank. Competition aside, the CET aspirants have more questions and less time frame, which is opposite in case of CAT. And the cut off for JBIMS is 99.87 percentile, and only 150 right answers will give you 99.99%ile.
The point is, CET is a tough nut to crack which is the reason why a good CET rank will definitely get you the college of your choice.
Generally, academic performance does affect the admission process but even if odds are stacked against you, the key is to make sure you force them against rejecting you when they look at your report. Strive hard to get an AIR rank that is appreciable enough for the college to overlook your poor previous performances and give what you deserve.
Hope it helps.

VJ/NT/NT-1 category -
This is the latest information I have. Hope this helps.
I like my college. I don't face any infrastructure-related issues. It is one of the best campuses for MBA. Sports facilities are available, so students enjoy a lot with it. A lot of games and sports activities are conducted in the college.
The institute provides several facilities to us, such as AC and well-furnished classrooms with projectors, seamless Wi-Fi accessibility, a huge library with an enormous collection of 40,000+ books, publications, periodicals, and materials. JBIMS doesn't have a hostel of its own, so I rented a PG in the nearby locality. I used to travel 20-25 minutes daily from my PG to the campus.
BIMS is 50 years old, so the infrastructure has not been renovated as per standards. But surely you will like the vintage architecture. Classrooms and library are well equipped with air-conditioners and digital boards. We do not have hostel on campuses,
