Yes , but you need a 99+ CAT percentile to compensate for low 12th marks (56.2%).
FMS Criteria: CAT (50%), Academics (30%), PI & Extempore (10%), Work Exp (10%).
Strengths: Diploma (72%) and B.Pharm diversity may help.
Challenges: 12th marks may lower academic score.
A strong CAT score + good PI can improve chances. Consider MDI, IMT, or new IIMs as backups.
Greetings! Here's a detailed response to your query
Okay, so you're a bit confused about what to put in those CAT, FMS, DSE, and IIFT forms regarding your 12th scores. Since you did CBSE, they usually only consider your final 12th standard marks.
Even though you did great in 11th, scoring 495 out of 500, for these entrance exam forms, they're specifically asking about your 12th board exam marks .You mentioned you got 400 out of 500 in 12th, which comes out to 80%.
Therefore, when filling out the forms for CAT, FMS, DSE, and IIFT, you should enter 80% as your 12th percentage. The aggregate of 11th and 12th isn't typically what they're looking for in these sections. They want to know how you performed in your final board exams. So, stick with the 80% from your 12th results. Good luck with your applications!
With a 99 percentile in CAT, you've definitely got a strong foundation for your MBA aspirations.
FMS Admission Process
FMS Delhi considers various factors for admission, including:
1. CAT score (99 percentile is excellent!)
2. Academic performance (your low academic background might be a concern)
3. Work experience (you didn't mention any, but certifications and courses can help)
4. Extracurricular activities (your Engage 7x Course and Spanish foreign language course are positives)
5. Personal interview (this is an opportunity to showcase your skills and passion)
SC Category Advantage
As an SC category candidate, you'll have a relaxation in the admission criteria. FMS Delhi has a reservation policy for SC/ST candidates.
Chances of Getting into FMS
While a 99 percentile CAT score is impressive, FMS Delhi is a highly competitive institution. Your low academic background might affect your chances, but:
- Your SC category status will provide some advantage.
- Your certifications and courses (Engage 7x, Spanish) demonstrate your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
It's difficult to predict admission outcomes, but I'd estimate your chances as follows:
- FMS Delhi: 20-30% chance (considering your CAT score, SC category, and certifications)
- Other top MBA colleges: 50-70% chance (considering your CAT score and SC category)
Next Steps
1. Apply to FMS Delhi: Submit your application, highlighting your strengths and certifications.
2. Prepare for the personal interview: Showcase your passion, skills, and experiences.
3. Consider other MBA colleges: Apply to other top colleges that align with your interests and goals.
Stay positive, and best of luck with your applications!

Hello
The Indian Institute of Management (IIMs), particularly the newer ones, are growing rapidly in stature but still differ from renowned MBA colleges like XLRI, SPJIMR, and FMS in terms of academic rigor, placements, and return on investment (ROI).
Here's a comparative analysis :
Placements:
Newer IIMs : Average CTC ranges from Rs14–20 LPA, varying by location and batch size.
Placement opportunities are growing , but they may lack the diversity and senior roles offered by the older IIMs or XLRI/SPJIMR .
XLRI, SPJIMR, and FMS : Consistently attract top-tier recruiters offering roles in consulting , finance , marketing and HR.
Average CTC for XLRI and SPJIMR is Rs25–30 LPA , while FMS boasts a high ROI with an average CTC of Rs34–38 LPA and lower fees .

There is no fixed CAT percentile to get admission to the MBA programme offered at the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi . The institute assigns different weightages to the scores of different sections of the CAT for the purpose of shortlisting candidates for the Interview process and for the final selection to encourage diversity across various disciplines.
A weighted score is computed by FMS Delhi giving weightages of 40%, 30%, and 30% to the scores of VARC, DILR and QA sections respectively. An additional 5 marks shall be added to the weighted score in case of women candidates for the purpose PI shortlist. Following criteria is used for the final selection:
Additional 5 marks for women candidates who appear for the PI.
Even a 99 percentile in the CAT will not give you a guarantee to get a shortlist for the GDPI process. But, if you belong to the reserved category, then you might get an Interview call at a lower percentile. Your final selection to FMS Delhi will depend upon a number of factors apart from your performance in the CAT.
Your Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation percentage does not help you directly to get admission to any business school. Only some weightage is given to them while selecting candidates for further admission process or final selection. To get admission in any of the top college you must appear for the management aptitude test and must perform well during WATPI/ GDPI process.

Institute of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University (IMS BHU) formerly known as Faculty of Management Studies BHU offers MBA and MBA in International Business programmes. Admissions to these programmes are made on the basis of combined merit of candidates in the CAT , academic records, and Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
FMS BHU does not specifically mention the percentile required to get an Interview call as the cutoffs may vary every year depending upon a number of factors for candidates from different categories.
Admissions are strictly based on merit. The institute also has a provision of the admission under Paid Seat Scheme . Admission under this scheme will be made from the same merit list after concluding the regular seat admissions from the remaining candidates in the merit list. Candidates are required to appear for the CAT and must appear in GDPI process.
Therefore, as you have obtained 75.51 percentile in the CAT and you belong to the OBC category, then you might get an Interview call but it will depend upon a number of factors.

Hello,
Admission in FMS Delhi through CAT 2024 requires high percentiles of scoring, which is always highly competitive since this is considered to be one of the most premier institutions in India. Traditionally, people have got admission in FMS Delhi with even above 99+ percentiles as the call was given to the next round even in the case of the general category.
For specific categories:
The scores of CAT have the most weightage in the selection process of FMS. In the present scenario, during the last couple of years, about 60 percent weightage was given to the scores of CAT, while the remaining was provided to other factors, like personal interview, academic performance, and diversity criteria.
Points to Remember
Since VARC is heavily scored, high scoring in it could be crucial. So also, a high score in VARC could be more important since FMS usually focuses on that particular section.
Hi!
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is the first and the most important component to get admission to best institutes such as FMS Delhi or IIMs. In order to get admission to any of these institutes, you must obtain a good percentile in the CAT. However, scoring a mere percentile in the CAT will not give you a guarantee to get an interview call from these institutes as they have a very complex admission process.
These institutes give consideration to a lot of factors while giving an interview call to candidates. These factors include CAT score, Class 10, Class 12, and Bachelor's degree marks, work experience, academic, and gender diversity, etc. If you even score a great percentile in the CAT , this will not mean that you will get a confirm Interview call. However, if you belong to the reserved category, then there are good chances of receiving an interview call from IIMs and FMS even at a low percentile.
Therefore, the CAT score is not the only criteria but is one of the criteria for admission to these institutes. The marks obtained by you in Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation will play a major role to get a shortlist for the WATPI/ GDPI rounds and during your final selection. Therefore, you have good chances to get admission in FMS and IIMs subject to the condition that you must perform well in the CAT followed by the WATPI/ GDPI process.

The infrastructure is different from department to department. Some departments have really high-tech facilities, and others are pretty basic. Libraries are fantastic for marketing resources. There are some problems with parking and Wi-Fi on many campuses.
The infrastructure is above average. It has all facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, A/C classrooms, library and medical facilities. Labs and classrooms are air-conditioned and contain all the required material. The mess was also designed well, and the food was awesome.
We are having one of the highest faculty to students ratio and average experience of faculty is around 20 years , combined this with the rich fu network , we are able to access different databases . And infrastructure also good .
