Ajara Mahavidyalaya, Ajara, a co-educational institution started in 1982 was founded by the Janata Education Society, situated at Ajara, Kolhapur District, Maharashtra. This affiliated college which spans over five acres has been assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college has a total of 1, 199 students of and 25 members of faculty The college offers six under graduate and post graduate programmes. 

Ajara Mahavidyalaya being a pioneer institute in providing standard education in Arts, Commerce, Science and Computer Applications to meet the education requirement in this region. The college has closely developed number of amenities that would complement the learning process as well as character molding of its students. For the students who want to pursue the field of computer applications, college also provides 3-years BCA. The post graduate courses include M.Com which is a two year course or the MA in Economics.
