Jangaon College of education was started in the year of 2002 which is one of the prominent college for training teachers in the village of Nidigonda, Raghunathpally Mandal, Jangaon District, state Telangana. This college for boys and girls located on a 5 acre land is an affiliated college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). To this end the college hosts three specialized courses in education that can support a total of 99 students while having a vibrant team of fifteen faculty members.

Jangaon College of Education has three regular courses in the field of education only. There are several programs offered today for prospects that are interested in a carrier as a teacher; these are Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Diploma in Education (D.Ed), and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). The B.Ed qualifiers the intake of fifty students and the D.el.Ed qualifies fifty students each, though the D.Ed has not defined the intake. All these courses are establish to be taken in two years so as to offer adequate preparation to prospective teachers. These specialized education programs which are practiced by the college are therefore an indication of the college’s aim of producing skilled and knowledgeable educators.

The admission process at Jangaon College of Education changes in respect to the course offered. For the B.Ed program the candidate must qualify in the Ed.CET (Education Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSC&HE). The course structure of the programme is merit based, which takes into account marks secured in the qualifying examination / entrance examination as prescribed by the state government / UT administration.
