Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies was established in 1997 as a leading institute for management studies in Mumbai, Maharashtra. As a constituent college for SNDT Women's University, the motto of JDBIMS is to uplift women through quality education in management. The institute is built on an area of 15.41 acres and offers various postgraduate and doctoral programmes in the field of management studies.

JDBIMS has modern facilities in sufficient measure to support its academic jouney. The institute library is a world of books in its own right, with around 25,000 management books, and surrounded by multiple periodicals, business magazines, and journals. The hands-on learning of JDBIMS is well supported by the sufficiently equipped laboratories and an advanced computer laboratory with latest software and hardware. It has a seminar hall within the campus, which is spacious and well-equipped with modern presentation tools, ideal for academic discussions and guest lectures. To further the case of holistic development, JDBIMS offers sports facilities with a gymnasium and multiple sports events. The institute's cafeteria is the students' relaxation and socialsation centere, and a healthcare centre aids to their basic medical needs.

The institute offers a wide range of management programmes aiding to various specialisations and modes of study. JDBIMS offers a number of full-time courses, from MMS to MBA in Human Resource Management, Retail Management, Finance Management, Marketing Management, Operations Management, and Systems Management. The institute also offers a variety of part-time programmes for working executives like MBA Executive and various Postgraduate Diploma courses in Business Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, International Business, and Corporate Social Responsibility. It also offers a Ph.D. in Management to those who have a bent towards research. The total approved intake for these courses varies from 60 each in the case of MMS and MBA Human Resource Management, to 40 each for most other programmes.

The admission procedure of the different programmes in JDBIMS is as varied. The candidate selection in the MMS programme is based on the CET conducted by DTE of Maharashtra or the Common Management Admission Test, CMAT, conducted by AICTE. This shall comprise a written test, followed by group discussions and a personal interview. For the MBA programmes, it is based on a written test, group discussion, and personal interview conducted by JDBIMS or a valid score from any national level test taken during the current academic year. Most of the part-time PGD programmes require an interview at JDBIMS.
