Janta College of Education, Sonepat was established in the year 2010. It is an affiliated college and is located in Sonepat city in the state of Haryana. The institution is co-educational and is approved by the NCTE so that standards in teaching education are taken for proper care. The campus is spread over an area of 5.7 acres. This area helps to create an atmosphere that provides a healthy environment for better learning and growth. The total enrollment of this institute was 194 students, with a faculty strength of 9, thus keeping a very favorable student-to-teacher ratio-oh so favorable, personal attention and effective learning experiences assured.

There are a number of facilities provided by institutes which act in the direction of adding to the quality of its education provided to the students. The college library is well equipped with a great number of books and serves as an information center in providing reading materials to the students for research and study. Departmental laboratories give practical experience in their respective disciplines, hence raising the standard of education. Likewise, the college also has an auditorium that will cater to different events and seminars for the promotion of extra-curricular activities, or even academic discourses. The amenities include a cafeteria, health center with first-aid, and a guest house where visiting faculty and relatives of students are housed. The institute has provided for sports facilities and a gym to look after physical well-being. The institution has planned for and developed well-maintained IT infrastructure so that students get easy access to contemporary technology for their academic purposes.

Presently, only one regular full-time course is being offered at Janta College of Education-the B.Ed. course. It's a two-year course with an intake of 100 students. The institute seems to be serious in the endeavor of teachers' education. This two-year B.Ed. course can then aim at building careers in teaching-equipped with pedagogical skills and updated knowledge. While this college offers only one degree program at present.

Admission to Janta College of Education is purely on the basis of merit, as well as in accordance with policies prescribed by the State Government, UT administration, and affiliating university.
