Jawahar Lal Nehru College at Bhopal was established in 1999; it is an affiliated college situated at the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. Located at C-56, Civil Lines, Shyamala Hills, this institution has especially expanded and become a core focal point of tertiary learning in the area. The college provides 34 courses in 16 programs for total enrolment of 3,005 in students. With an NAAC accreditation and affiliation to the NCTE, the college has the benefit of giving quality education to its students majoring in arts, commerce, science and teacher education streams.
The college has highly developed facilities most of which are intended to improve on teaching and learning activities of students. Well stocked modern Library facility caters different types of books, journals and magazines both Indian and foreign. It boasts of its well equipped laboratories that services areas of computing, chemistry, physics, zoology, microbiology, botany, electronics, biotechnology, psychology and education technology laboratories among others. Available facilities to cater the need of aspiring teachers are Music Lab and Craft Lab for D.E.I.ED., B,ED., and M.ED. students and also a language Lab. Currently, Jawahar Lal Nehru College teaches and offers 34 courses that span through the entire range of disciplines. These are day-division undergraduate and post graduate studies together with specialisations in education and physical education. The college offers 16 undergraduate programs comprising of B.A, B.B.A, B.C.A, B.Com, B.Sc and various specialisation are like computer science, microbiology, biotechnology and so on. The college also offers 14 postgraduate courses, Masters in different subjects, M.Sc in streams, M.Com and master of Education M.P.Ed, Bachelors in Education B.Ed, Bachelors in Physical Education B.P.Ed and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications PGDCA.

Degree wise Admission Process

Candidates should have successfully completed the 10+2 examination with relevant subjects.
BBA, BCA : For these professional undergraduate programs, these are selected according to the merit obtained at the 10+2 level. Those with good mathematical background and computer science may be preferred for BCA.
M.A., M.Com, M.Sc: Merit in the degree of the relevant bachelor will be the basis of admitting to postgraduate programs. The college offers specializations in various subjects, including English, Political Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science, among several others.
B.Ed, M.Ed: Admission to these teacher education programs is based on the qualifying marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance examination. The selection process shall be as per guidelines by state government, U.T. Administration, and the affiliated university.
B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed: The admission to these programs in physical education merit in qualifying exam on and/or entrance examination. University norm of conducting any additional physical fitness tests is also followed.
PGDCA: Admission is based on the scores in the bachelor's degree.
The college was just of one building at my time.. the college faculty and administration were supportive and really understanding.. the classroom doesn't have smart boards and wifi .. the living spaces were clean
