Established in the year 2008, Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad currently offers programmes at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At the undergraduate level, Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology offers the B.Tech programme in 8 disciplines and at the postgraduate level, the college offers the M.Tech programme in 2 disciplines and an MBA programme.

Admission in the B.Tech programme at JCET Palakkad is made on the basis of performance of the candidates and rank obtained by them in the JEE- Main or KEAM and admission in the M.Tech programme at JCET Ottapalam is made on the basis of GATE rank and scores. To take admission in the MBA programme, the candidates should have a valid CAT/CMAT/KMAT score.
