Jawaharlal Nehru College for Women, Villupuram: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Affiliated Under Bharathidasan University, Villupuram Tamilnadu India; private college for woman established in the year of 2011 named as Jawaharlal Nehru College for Women-JNCW. The institute, affiliated with Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, is an ISO 9001:Certified institution founded in 2015 and mainly focuses on the education of women. JNCW has 20 courses integrated in 8 degrees spread over a 15-acre campus with total intake capacity of 1287. 

The college has an instructionalse teaching staff of 58 members. They specifically emphasize art and the science stream, and have various students from upper classes and 1380 junior classes female students and 97% are undergraduate and 3% postgraduate students all belong to West Bengal.

JNCW Villupuram is also responsible for establishing an education platform to afford its students the best learning experience. The college provides a number of amenities to foster the learning exercise and all round development of the students. It has fully equipped labs, a computerized library with over 30000 books and many journals and IT facilities with broadband connection. To ensure that the students are well rounded, JNCW has provided facilities in the form of indoor games such as carom, chess, table tennis etc and outdoor games such as volley ball, hockey, football etc. 

The college also also has a health center with first aid facilities, and a resident doctor. In order to provide comfortable commuting facilities the JNCW has own buses fitted with all modern facilities. Besides that the college has a cafeteria supplying healthy meal for students and employees in clean environment, and an auditorium for different performances and seminars involvement.

Jawaharlal Nehru College for Women holds a broad spectrum of academic programs to meet different needs of learners and their preferences. It proffers 13 undergraduate and 4 post graduate courses in arts and science stream. Every course is a full-time program where the undergraduate programs takes three years and postgraduate programs takes two years. The college offers courses of BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA & BCA at its undergraduate level and MA, M.Com & M.Sc at post graduate level. At the academic year 2022, the college had a student population of 1,190, with the 1,157 of them in the undergraduate and 33 in the postgraduate level.

Jawaharlal Nehru College for Women only admit female students and only offers admissions through merit, taking the marks they obtained in their previous examination. The admission process in the college is very simple, and females who meet the specified benchmark can apply for the college.
