The college of more recent creation is Jawaharlal Nehru Smriti Mahavidyalaya, Ganj Basoda, an affiliated college established in 1989 and located in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. This institution which is located in a 5 acre land aims at offering quality education in teaching arena. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college offers two full-time courses: B.Ed and D.El.Ed. A total of 191 students intake and faculty of 19 make up a good student teacher ratio. The profession based course Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two year full time course the college has sanctioned strength of 100 students. The second kind of diploma program is the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), which is also a two year full-time program for 50 students. These courses are intended to train students for jobs within the teaching profession and educational management. The college offers student intake of 191 which means it is not a mass producing college but offers education with limited number of students in a class.
