Jaya College of Education is one of the prestigious teacher training institutions of Chennai was started in the year 2006, located in Thiruninravur, Chennai. This co–educational institute is an affiliated college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE. Located on a small area of 0.90 acres, the college provides two distinct programmes in education. Jaya College of Education successfully admitted 200 students in total and has 25 faculty members which makes a small student to faculty ratio thus has the strong focus on educational quality.

Jaya College of Education jhas up to date physical infrastructure necessary to support it’s-course offering programmes. This also holds an I.T Infrastructure comprise of a modernised computer laboratory with more than 20 computers and internet connection, multimedia equipments such as projectors, digital cameras and scanners. Currently, the library is opened for 7 hours and it possesses approx. 4000 different books, 300 magazine volumes, and it has subscribed to 20 magazines and journals, both from national and international level. Science lovers have state of the art science labs for Biological Science, Physics, and Psychology, stocked and revised annually according to the syllabus provided by Tamilnadu Teachers Education University. The college also offers different accommodation for male and female students to enable those that live in the hostels to live in comfortable atmosphere.

Jaya College of Education offers two full-time courses, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a Master of Education (M.Ed ). The B.Ed programme offers an intake capacity of One hundred students while M. Ed has a capacity of fifty students. Both programmes take two years to complete; the course content emphasises educational theory as well as practice. These specialised education degrees, thus, embraced by the college is a testimony to its desire to bring forth knowledgeable teaching professionals.
