Jaya College of Education, Tiruvallur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Jaya College of Education was established in 2006 at Tiruvallur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is an affiliated college. The institution is recognised from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and mainly focuses in providing specialised programmes in education. The college has its campus situated in a compact area of 0.9516 acres The current total student enrolment is 200 students and the college has a faculty of 12 members. Jaya college of education itself functioning as both gender education means mean for male students and female students are welcome to join in the college.

Jaya College of Education has numerous amenities within it that can help the learner in their academic and development process. The library boasts of 3980 books, 306 volumes, 1871 titles and subscriptions to 20 magasines, all national and 7 international magazines. As part of the practical learning exercise, the institution having a Biological Science Lab, Physical Science Lab, and Psychology Lab, the labs are updated from time to time based on the syllabus of the Tamilnadu Teachers Education University. The computer laboratory includes over twenty computers connected to the Internet for delivering opportunities for accessing software and open-source platforms for students.

Jaya college of Education does offer only two total full time courses in education. The B.Ed programme has an approved intake capacity of one hundred student whereas M.Ed programme is of fifty students. The programmes are equally long, which are two years in duration. 

The eligibility criteria at Jaya College of Education involves students obtaining their scores in the intake examination and/or successful qualifying examination. Admission policies of the state government/UT administration and the university are followed for admission to B.Ed programme.
