Jaya Institute of Technology and Science for Women, Warangal: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Warangal Telangana established Jaya Institute of Technology and Science for Women (JITSW) in the year of 2009, is one of the most leading educational institutions. This women only institute solely an aim of imparting technical education with special focus on women and to empower the female students in the field of engineering. Recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), JITSW has been working on building up its reputation in the area. The faculty of the institute synthesised of 88 members which makes student-teacher ratio better and help the students in their academic development.

Even data regarding the size of campuses with the total number of students enroling in JITSW is missing; Jaya Institute of Technology and Science for Women has a well-facilitated campus to provide a suitable environment to the only female students. The institute is located at Hanumakonda, Warangal very closed to Padmakshamma Temple which is an ideal place to educate students without any interruption. Students get relevant facilities in their education and tailored necessities of learning institution facilities are not described in more details. Evidently, all these aspects in the structure of the institute support women in STEM fields and the programmes formulated therein.

JITSW has a list of engineering courses it provides which incorporates special emphasis on three main specialties. The institute offers B.Tech specialisations to Computer science and Engineering , Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering. The distribution of seats across the programmes is as follows; computer science  - 60, Electrical and Electronics Engineering – 60 and Electronics and Communication Engineering – 120. This course structure is a reflection of the institute’s vision and mission of producing students specialised in the areas within technology that are market relevant.

Concerning admission in the JITSW there is no clear information whether it is deregulated or not In general the admission policy is merit based but procedures admitting tests etc. are not mentioned. Since the institution is AICTE approved engineering colleges in India might follow standard admission procedure. JITSW has clearly defined goals of imparting technical education to women hence it carries out its work in a focused manner and offers extra courses to achieve its goals. As the institution continues to expand the development process, Jaya Institute of Technology and Science for Women continues to occupy a significant place in the representation of gender diversity in the provision of technology and engineering education in the Warangal area and beyond.
