JB Memorial College of Education, BANIPUR the college was established in the year 2015 at Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, is a co educational institution. This affiliated college is also recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) thus provides quality education related to teaching field. Located in a plot of 0.93 acres, the college is at present having a student strength of 194 and 16 Numbers of teaching faculties. JB Memorial College of Education provides two unique degree programmes in education to individuals who wish to become educators.

JB Memorial College of Education has many amenities that are meant to facilitate learning to the students of the college. These facilities are centered on a comprehensive computerised central library that boasts well over 5,000 text volumes that cuts across technical, management, educational and language teaching materials. The library also has 37 Indian and foreign journals, 15 encyclopaedias and several periodicals so that the students have a reading material for their course works. Besides the library, the college provides departmental laboratory, sports hall, hall for events and seminars, and the health centre with first aids. Apart from that the students can also take advantage of the gym, latest IT facilities as well as well structured classrooms that encourage learning and development.

JB Memorial College of Education currently offers two full-time courses: , should posses a Bachelor of Education B.Ed or a Diploma in Elementary Education D.EL.ED. Each programme is structured to prepare students for a professional teaching occupation, by providing them with essential knowledge and skills. The B.Ed programme has an approved intake capacity of 100 students and the School offers sufficient vacant for all the learners. Specifically, The number of seats in the course is not defined, however, D.El.Ed is also available in full-time. These programme helps the college to enhance its total student enrolment to 194, hence sustain the production of qualified teachers.

JB Memorial College of Education conducts admission on the merit of marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Like any other colleges in West Bengal and as affiliated to the university it follows the rules and regulations set down by the government of West Bengal and the university to which it is affiliated to. For the B.Ed programme, the candidates may need to undertake other tests as deemed necessary from the university. Likewise, the admission programme of the D. El. Ed is done on merit under the rules of the state government or UT administration respectively.
