JD Institute of Engineering and Technology, Amethi is affiliated college situated in Uttar Pradesh, India. This institute is located in Sadipur, Mushafirkhana National Highway 56; the goal of this institute is to deliver technical education on an optimum level to intending engineers. However, it is not clear as yet when this institute was set up though currently it is a well-known institute in the field of engineering education in the region. This college has been authorised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), so its programmes follow the rules of technical education in India. At present the institute has a strong-armed faculty of 38 members and has four diploma programmes in enggineering streams. 

JD Institute of Engineering and Technology has developed several infrastructure features to support the learning process of students. It also has a rich library which is also considered one of the best technology libraries in Uttar Pradesh region. It has evolved in terms of resources, and infrastructural and service provisions, and has become a significant information centre of the institution. About the technological profile: The technological competence of the institute is quite evident from the modern computer center of the institute. This air conditioned facility has state-of-art hardware and software which enables the students to be abreast with all the modern equipments. Further, the institute possesses well-equipped discipline specific laboratory where students can assess their theoretical knowledge practically. 

Apart from academics, emphasis the college lays importance on the overall development of the students of the JD Institute of Engineering and Technology. To promote the sporting culture among the students the institute conducts annual sports fest in which students are encouraged to play cricket, football, volleyball, basket ball, table tennis, chess and carrom. This not only positively contributes to students’ physical health but also keeps their competition and cooperation spirits as students. JD Institute of Engineering and Technology has a limited number of diploma courses that are carried out over a full term of three years as full time programmes. The institute currently provides four diploma programmes: departments include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Production, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering respectively. These programmes are an exceptional way of catering for the individual interests of anyone who has a dream of becoming an engineer and the general changing demands of the market . Civil Engineering has the highest course capacity of 120 while other three capacity are 60 for each resulting to a total course student intake capacity of 300.
