Jhadeswar Institute of Engineering and Technology (JIET) is an Engineering college situated at Balasore, Odisha and was started recently in the year 2009. This affiliated college that has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education AICTE gives diploma courses in engineering discipline. JIET is located on fifty four thousand four hundred square meter land and it have a total intake capacity of one thousand two hundred nine and faculties are thirty eight in numbers. The institute offers 4 diploma courses and all these programmes are full time. 

The Jhadeswar Institute of Engineering and Technology provides student facilities that can provide support and aid the students and help them learn and develop. To support out town students, JIET has provided different hostels for boys and girls within the premises of the institute. It is also fully equipped with books, references and journals that are very useful in students’ academic endeavours. In order to remain updated with the existing technology dear college has maintained good IT facilities. Facilities like generated on-campus cafeteria, transport facility for recruitment, practical laboratory, etc., are also beneficial for the students. To achieve a comprehensive growth at JIET sports infrastructure, gymnasium, and an open-air auditorium for different events for seminars are available. There is also a medical centre that handles the first aid of students who fall sick or have an accident.

At present, JIET has four diploma programmes which are all day courses that take three years to complete such as Mechanical engineering and Electrical engineering. It offers various programmes based on the branches of engineering that enables the student to absorb a sound background on the chosen field. The institute has always been providing education which falls in line with practical profession related employment.
