Jijamata College of Science and Arts, Bhende, was founded in 1992 as an affiliated college at Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The institution holds the granted NAAC Accreditation of 'A' grade and offers a wide spectrum of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Jijamata College is established in a huge 40 acres of campus with a total student enrolment number to 1,512 alongside the faculty strength of 40.

Jijamata College of Science and Arts has all facilities necessary to provide an atmosphere for personal and academic growth. There is a hostel on the campus for both boys and girls, with a capacity of 80 and 100 students, respectively. The hostels have facilities for hot water, filtered drinking water, canteen, and indoor games. It is a repository of knowledge containing over 22,385 books and references. Different periodicals, magazines, and journals are retained to fulfill the students' needs. A spacious reading hall is also provided with accommodation for 100 students. In order to cater to the entire need of sports-minded students, a separate gym for girls will be added to the existing well-maintained sports facilities and gym for boys. The Jijamata College of Science and Arts, Bhende, has a mix of 9 courses, both undergraduate and postgraduate. The under-graduate includes full-time courses of B.Sc, BA, B.Com, and B.Sc in Computer Science. At the postgraduate level, the college offers MA in Economics and Marathi, M. Sc in Analytical Chemistry, Botany, and Computer Science.
