JJ College of Education which was started in the year 2006 is one of the leading and recognised self financing college in Pudukkottai of Tamil Nadu,India exclusively providing teacher training courses. This institute for boys and girls is one of the affiliated colleges which are approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Located on a five (5.07) acres compound the college has two degree programmes in education. While JJ College of Education offers education only at the B.Ed level, the college has a total student enrolment of 317 and a faculty strength of 26.

JJ College of Education is equipped with numerous facilities to enhance campus learning and development to prepare the college students. In terms of assets it has 6,839 books and 27 journals from which the students can find all necessary materials for their studies. It also avails functional and technical campus facilities, such as Education Technology lab, Physical Science Lab, Language Lab, Biological Science/ Psych lab to enhance the practical exercises. The exquisite features for different sporting activities include basketball, ball badminton, volleyball and handball.

JJ College of Education provides two complete courses in the sphere of education. Like the Graduate Teacher Education programme, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) has a sitting capacity of one hundred students while the Master of Education (M.Ed) has a sitting capacity of fifty students. Each programme aims at producing competent professional practitioners in teaching and educational management.

JJ College of Education provides admission for all courses and it is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance test. Regarding the admission policy for B.Ed programme, it is believed in accordance with the state government and the university administration policy of the particular state & union territory. Similarly, M.Ed programme also adopted the same procedure where admission is given on merit criterion according to state government university or UTs norms.
