JJ College of Education, Tiruchirappalli, started in 2005 is one of the reputed self-financing institutions among teacher education colleges in Tamil Nadu, India. Situated in a village named Ammapettai Murugappan Pallam Pulangulathupatti – 626 151, this college is co-educational having an area of 15 acres. NCTE approved institute is known for its educational rigor and hence the approval from The National Council for Teacher Education. The college admits 306 students in total for different programmes while academically it has 36 faculties in its campus.

The JJ College of Education has numerous establishments of contemporary equipment intended to improve the learning environment of the learners. The campus has arrangements for different hostels for boys and girls complete with essential and modern facilities. These hostels consist of guest accommodation, dining hall with facilities for indoor sports, and round-the-clock- medical facilities. The college library is a place where every learner realises his or her carrier, a place where learners can quickly, easily, and freely get access to different books, dictionaries, encyclopedia, and journals. It also houses M.Ed. Research Library for post graduate students and courses. The institution boasts well equipped laboratories, Physical Science Lab measuring 893 sq ft is part of the practical teaching training for the student teachers. 

JJ College of Education offers two full-time courses: Bachelors of Education (B.ED) and Masters of Education (M.ED). The two programmes are structured to be full time programmes undertaken over a span of two years. These courses are designed with the intention to provide skillful and knowledgeable educators to face the existing complexity in the field of education. These two core programmes show that teacher education in the college is well defined and can be done comprehensively.

The JJ College of education Policies on admission are as follows: Admission solemnly follows the merit-storage policy with approbation from the state government/UT administration, and the University to support the move. For the B.Ed programme participation is done according to the marks secured in their previous qualifying examination and or an entrance examination.
