JJ College of Education, Tiruchirappalli Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a Boys' Hostel separately. All Hostels are well equipped with basic and modern facilities and attached to guest rooms to accommodate the guests who visit the hostels. The respective messes attached to the hostels provide quality and nutritious veg & non-veg food in a hygienic environment. A recreation room with TV and provisions for indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, and Carom is available. Medical officers visit the hostels every day. Deputy Wardens and Resident Tutors reside in both the hostels and they take care of the discipline and other welfare activities of the residents. There are separate generators on standby for the supply of electricity continuously. A car for emergency hostel use is in place 24 hours a day.

The college has a library facility for all students. The learning resources in the form of Books, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Journals, etc., are in good numbers in the B.Ed. Library. Care has been taken to procure standard books from reputed publishers to meet the requirements of the staff and students. The Library which measures about 1200 sq. ft. is maintained at the professional level. The following are the categories of learning resources available in the library. M.Ed. Research LibraryThis Library is specifically meant for the students of the M.Ed. degree course. The Books, Encyclopedias, and other resources are on certain specific areas from which the students could cull out the necessary information for their suggested research problems. The library also offers internet facilities in a built-up area.

The College has a Sports facility for the students.

The Computer Lab is functioning in an air-conditioned room measuring 1212 sq. ft.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. The Physical Science Lab measures around 893 sq. ft. It has been designed in such a way to enable the student teachers to perform experiments in Physics and Chemistry as a trial before going to teach in their respective schools. Almost all necessary types of equipment, apparatuses, gadgets, chemicals, acids, etc., have been provided in such a way to do practicals individually during practical hours.
