JN College was established in 1972 at Dhurwa, Ranchi, Jharkhand is one of the well-known institute of the twin city. This constituent college covers a land area of 5.02 acres and provides an immense variety of 25 courses under eight-degree programmes. The College has 2,516 students and 27 lecturers to teach enabling student to experience the best learning environment.

The JN College has several amenities that exist in order to promote the convenience of the students. Sports facilities meet students’ physical needs; on the other hand, the modern library acts as a source of information. Departmental laboratories mean the students get practical experience, apart from which IT facilities are also good. Campus amenities include a cafeteria for the provision of meals, Wi-fi for easy internet connection and a health care, first aid section. JN College also well develops the alumni associations to build the connection even after the student finishes his/ her academic journey.

The JN College strives to deliver a rich service package and currently only provides 25 courses such as; Full time Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. Some of the disciplines of courses include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, History, Economics, Political Science, Philosophy, Languages, psychology, Geography, Anthoology, Commerce, Computer Applications, and Information Technology.

Admission procedure also in JN College, Ranchi is very selective but gives equal priority to merit as well as to the socially deprived sections of the society.
