Affiliated to Dibrugarh University, Joya Gogoi College, Golaghat, was established in the year 1991. The principal office is situated in Khumtai, Golaghat, Assam, on an area of 18 acres. This co-educational institute avails different undergraduate programs. As of now, the student strength of the college is 758, and the faculty strength is 35. Joya Gogoi College offers 14 courses across 4 degrees, in Arts and Science. The institution is dedicated to imparting quality education and fostering academic excellence in the region. 

The college has a number of facilities for the all-round development of the students. Notably, a newly constructed two-storied Girls' Hostel accommodates 18 students with all necessary facilities, including well-furnished rooms, pure drinking water, and clean sanitation facilities. Kargil Martyr Capt. Jintu Gogoi College has a centrally air-conditioned library that holds a collection of 8,961 books. The library also receives 15 journals and periodicals.
