JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Education, Tathawade, is one of the leading teacher training institutes in Pune, Maharashtra, which came into existence in the year 2008. This affiliated college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) shall follow the set standards of moulding the future teachers. Geographically located on a vast land of 14 acres, the college provides a good learning environment. It has an aggregate student enrolment of 195 students and faculties of 16 members, which make it possible to give personal attention and quality education to the students. The college currently awards one degree programme, which is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), which is in line with the college’s specialised training mandate. 

JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Education comprises a number of up-to-date facilities to facilitate its educational initiatives. The library, equipped with the requisite materials, provides information to students and staff. For extracurriculars, the college has a sports ground with facilities for football, cricket, and volleyball and a separate gym for boys and girls. The campus also has a lawn tennis court as well as a basketball court so as to ensure that the students get fully developed. The college cafeteria, open from 7 am to 9 am, supplies students, staff, and visitors with vending snacks and meals at affordable prices every 30 pm daily in order to satisfy all the clients’ dietary requirements within the college. 

JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Education offers one full-time course: the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme. This programme takes two years and has an approved admission capacity of one hundred students, a measure that shows that this institute is conscious of the fact that each learner can benefit best if admitted to a class that is neither congested nor overcrowded. The B.Ed. programme is intended to closely prepare students with skills and knowledge that are required in the field of teaching.

Concerning admission, JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Education offers admission based on marks obtained in the qualifying and/or entrance examination. Admission policy in the college is equally regulated and controlled by the state government of Maharashtra and the university to which it is affiliated.
