Kabiguru Institute of Education, Purba Bardhaman: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Kabiguru Institute of Education lies in Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal which was set up in the year 2015. This is a co-educational institution and is Part B affiliation to the University of Burdwan and aims at producing quality teacher educators. Situated in a small area of 2 acres, the institute has been approved by the National Council of Teachers Education (NCTE), which means that institutes follow national standard of teacher training programmes. Kabiguru Institute of Education holds a total enrolment of 135 students and faculty staff of 15; this qualifies the institute to harbor good student-teacher ratio thus promoting proper learning.

The institute boasts of providing the following facilities which have improved student experience. The library forms a tangible part of academic and research material, which contains more than 4150 books and journals including periodicals and encyclopedia. It has a study area with 50 seats and acts as a study area where students can enhance their knowledge through study apart from the classroom. To provide practical training, the institute has a sophisticated departmental laboratory facilities. Namely the multipurpose hall is used for academic purposes as well as for other important occasions which may occur. Students would also find it more comfortable to have either a male or female hostel for those coming from distant schools. The campus has a canteen and sport facilities for indoor and outdoor games as well as guest accommodation for faculty and members of their families.

Kabiguru Institute of Education currently offers one primary course: It consists of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). It is a two-year full-time course that has been developed to equip everyone involved in teaching in the contemporary world teacher training course. Offered with an intake capacity of 100 students for B.Ed, the college offers trainings in Pedagogy, Educational psychology and Teaching method in their respective subjects. 

The admission in Kabiguru Institute of Education is thus based on marks obtained in the qualifying exams or the entrance exams. The institute prevails to adhere to the admission policies of the state government and the University to which it is affiliated.
