Kabiguru Rabindranath College of Education, Cooch Behar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Kabiguru Rabindranath College of Education, situated at Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India, is an affiliated college established in the year 2012. This is a co-educational institution approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, indicating its quality standards in teacher education. It has a compact 0.89-acre campus with two special courses in education and a total student enrolment of 341. The faculty strength of the institution is 16. So, the student-to-teacher ratio is very inspiring. 

The college is dedicated to providing a good learning environment to its students. It also has a huge library that is full of more than 5,000 reference books and eight journals that help in fulfilling the needs of the student teachers. The infrastructural facilities are outstanding and involve six classrooms, an auditorium with a capacity for over 200 students, and several department-based laboratories that include an ICT lab, Educational Technology lab, Physical Science lab, Bio-science lab, Psychology lab, and many others. Extracurricular activities are also provided for holistic development of students. Sports facilities with indoor games like table-tennis and carom are available. A Health Centre with first-aid facilities, gym, and canteen are some of the amenities available to students.

Kabiguru Rabindranath College of Education offers two full-time courses viz. B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) and D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education). Both these courses are of two years duration with an approved intake of 100 students in each, thus totaling 200 seats in all courses put together.  

Admission in the Kabiguru Rabindranath College of Education is done purely on the basis of merit, and only the most meritorious students will be selected. The B.Ed. selection would be strictly based on the candidates' merit.
