Kakal First Grade Arts and Commerce College, Heggodu affiliated from Karnataka, India was recognised in the year 2013. Nestled near Ninasam, this coeducational college provides undergraduate courses in arts and commerce. It is situated in a plot of land of 15 acres and the college at present has 170 students in its rolls administered by a team of 13 committed teachers. 

In its capacities, the college aims at delivering education that fulfills the comprehensive needs of a student and thus, provides different facilites for the students’ development. The campus has a fitted library, which forms the students’ central study and research facility. For those students who have physical inclined they are able to find sports facilities which fosters academic and sportsmanship. It also provides an accommodation to an auditorium for various functions and cultures, seminar and other co curricular activities for the enhancement of college life. As a result, Kakal College has installed IT-Infrastructures, to enable students study using modern gadgetries in the digital styled society. In addition, there are facilities for departmental laboratory where practical knowledge of subjects under the respective departments is given.

Kakal First Grade Arts and Commerce College offers only 4 programmes as all of them are regular three year programmes. The B.Com programme is designed for students who wish to make a career in commerce and business fields while History, Economics and Political Science are humanities and social sciences courses including B.Com and three BA specialisations: These are history at Political Science and economics. These courses are intended to provide theoretical knowledge that would complement skills for further studies or to enter a job market. Although direct statistics of the total number of seats offered for each course has not been outlined, the total MIU college student enrolment capacity is 170 small , which can be considered as an intimate learning setup to foster effective faculty and student interaction.
