Kakinada College of Education, Vidyanagar, was started in 2007 and is an affiliated college located in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. This coeducational Institution is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education for quality standard in teacher education. Located on a 5-acre area, the college provides a quality environment conducive for teaching training. At a student capacity of one hundred and a faculty of nine, the institute is fully capable of attending to its students’ needs. For the current time, a college offers only one programme, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), which correspondingly shows its focus on teacher training. 

Kakinada College of Education stands firmly on its five-pillared educational mandate, facilities in excess of forty acres, and array of facilities meant to support student endeavours. The sports facilities promote the affairs of health and recreation while developing group harmonising for the future teachers. Kakinada College of Education is established with special focus on B.Ed course where the college provides only 50 admissions for the course. This is a two years full course that has been structured to give the students the knowledge and skills required in their teaching practice. Information on the feasible components that form part of the programme includes theory in education, best practices in teaching, and class practices. The college is uniquely positioned for teacher education since it is exclusively centred on that aspect of education. 

The admission to the courses that are offered at Kakinada College of Education depends on the score marks that are acquired in the qualifying examination and or entrance examination. The admission policy of the college is in conformity with the admission policies that passed by the state government of Andhra Pradesh and the affiliated university.
