Kalinga Institute of Management and Technology is a private business School which was started in 2007 in the city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Approved by AICTE, KIMT located in affiliation with the Utkal University offers extensive undergraduate and postgraduate programmes . The institute is located in a small 2 acre area of land and thus offers comfortable seating to its 111 registered students. Having a strength of four faculties we have a good student faculty ratio to allow focused attention. At present, the institute delivers seven programmes of study leading to degree programme in management, law, commerce and data science & analytics to meet the dynamic nature of the job market.

Kalinga Institute of Management and Technology has several administrative facilities which can improve learning atmosphere and contribute to students’ successfully accomplished work. The literature of the institute is good comprising a large number of books, journals and other research papers accessible to the students and the faculty. The latest technological solutions of IT provide for the academic and administrative functions of the school and university thereby making the students acquainted with new technology developments. The facilities are state of the art structures with well equipped classroom that has audio- visual equipment that enhances learning. To give students sentiments of touch, well-equipped laboratories are available for practical lessons for different courses. KIMT also has different hostel for male and female students that make students to feel at home hence enhancing personal as well as academic development. A functional medical center on the territory of the University provides relevant medical assistance to all the members of the KIMT community.

The institute is involved in offering a total of 7 full-time courses in the institution, these are both the undergraduate and the postgraduate level courses. These are BBA, MBA in Agri Business, M Com in Finance and Control, MA in Personnel Management and Industrial Relation, MSc in Data Science, BSc in Data Science and BA LLB (Hons). The offered variety of programmes enables students to select specialisation relevant to what they want to do in their futures and what is necessary in the respective field. The exact number of seats for each programme has not been provided but, the total student intake at KIMT is 111 meaning that keen attention towards each student is given. This is because the institute has schools under its umbrella that offer various courses, all of which are well aimed at ensuring that the candidate who passes through the institute gets the best preparation in as many fields as possible so as to enable the candidate to fit into the market properly.

Kalinga Institute of Management and Technology has a bias to merit-based admissions across the board. For the undergraduate programmes like BBA, B.Sc in Data Science the admission criteria remain the percentage scored in their 10+2 or equivalent examination. MBA in Agri-Business and M.Com in Finance and Control some postgraduate programmes mainly consider marks scored in graduation, sometimes results of specific entrance exam. Like in the B.Sc and BA programme, the structure of MA in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations and M.Sc in Data Science also ask for the academic and the skills section.
