About Kalka Pharmacy Institute for Advanced Studies, Meerut

Kalka Pharmacy Institute for Advanced Studies at Meerut, set up in the year 2018 is comparatively young in terms of institutes in the field of Pharmacy in India. It is an affiliated college in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh which is PCI approved and was established by the AICTE. The institute located at a small area of 0.5acres is concerned only with the education in the field of pharmacy. Currently, the institute is learner community comprises 97 learners while it employs 7 faculty members which enable them to have an ideal learner–faculty ratio for every learner in the institute. 


This means that the institute has some basic needs to ensure that it offers proper education to its students merited. A good library where materials should be selected and accumulated in required quantity and varieties for benefiting the students as a source of pharmaceutical literature and other stuff. Furthermore, the college provides different departmental laboratories which are essential in practical or hands-on experience as required in the college of pharmacy. These opportunities help resolve the problem of the lack of a direct connection between the classroom and professional practices in the pharmaceutical business for students. 


Kalka Pharmacy Institute for Advanced Studies presently has only one main program in its curriculum – the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma). This is a two years program offered on full time basis with an approved admission capacity of 60 students per year. The program offers the D.Pharma course to the students to build their knowledge on pharmaceutical sciences necessary for the jobs in health and pharmaceutical organizations. Although at the moment the institute is completing in only this diploma programme, affiliation with PCI and AICTE indicate its concern towards quality education and other programs which may be added in coming future.
