Kalol Institute of Technology and Research Centre is one of the premier educational institutes in Kalol, Gujarat, established in 2006. This affiliate college, as accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education, gives a whole suite of engineering programs. It offers various courses in the Engineering field at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Currently, KIRC is offering 13 courses in 2 degree levels; all are full-time based. At undergraduate level, the institute offers BE in disciplines like Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communication System Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. The other post-graduate courses include five ME programs on Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Information Technology, and Machine Design. 

The admission process in KIRC is essentially performance-based on relevant entrance examinations. To undergraduate programmes, admissions are made through the Gujarat Common Entrance Test. All those students who wish to get admitted to their postgraduate levels have to take up Gujarat PGCET. These are undertakings to some kind of standardized tests that ensure fair and merit-based choice for the students. Also, the institute strictly aligns with the schedule of admissions set by these examinations and carries out its admission process pretty much in tandem with the state-wide engineering admission schedule.
