Kamal Institute of Technology, Kanpur is one of the most advanced educational institutions established in the year 2014. Spread over a sprawling campus of 5.282 acres in Sikandra, Ramabai Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh, this institute is an affiliated college approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi. It has a diversified portfolio of 10 courses at 2 degree levels, with a total student enrolment of 414. This institute provides a multifaceted platform backed by state-of-the-art facilities for the all-round enrichment of the learning process and development of a student. The diploma courses are spread over quite a few different fields of engineering, including Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Maintenance, and Production Engineering, with 60 students for each course. KIT also offers B.Tech programs in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics Engineering. The institute is also running a D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) program with an intake of 50 students.

The admission procedure at Kamal Institute of Technology is hassle-free and purely on merit basis. The institute accepts the UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test) test score for B.Tech programs. This is a controlled test that evaluates the candidature based on subjects relevant to the stream of engineering. In the case of diploma courses, admissions are mostly done based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination itself (10+2 or equivalent). The admission criteria for the D.El.Ed course may contain certain other specifics, as prescribed by the NCTE.
