Kanan Devi Memorial College of Education, Manipur, started in 1992, is a well known, reputable teacher education college. This co-educational college is situated in Pangei, Imphal East and the college occupies a 5.0 acres area. It is affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) approved college that practiced several functional educational standards. At present, the college has 188 students enroled and a total of 16 professional teachers that allows college to keep the student teacher ratio that allows for individual attention.

Kanan Devi Memorial College of Education have extended a number of amenities for improvement of the already existing learning environment. Among them are the provision of different hostels for male and female students to assure those from different parts of the country have a comfortable place to stay. This is a two-year course offered at an undergraduate level and aims to produce competent and professionals in teaching. The B.Ed programme has an approved intake capacity of 100 students which fulfill a large number of enthusiasts of teaching profession in every academic session.
