KMCPGS Puducherry: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Kanchi Mamunivar Centre for Postgraduate Studies (KMCPGS), established in 1989, is an autonomous institution established in Puducherry, Tamil Nadu. This centre has achieved a good rank of 77 among colleges in the NIRF 2024 rankings. NAAC accredited, KMCPGS provided 5 degree programmes that having 22 postgraduate courses available. Located on a 4.6 acre area, this institute has total 1,333 students and 62 faculty members. Based on the field focus, KMCPGS is reputed for its specialisations in English, Tamil, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics and other.

The institute boasts to have accommodated various amenities that could improve the academic and growth of the students. The campus has accommodation in different hostels for boys and girls to provide comfortable accommodation for every culture and race that the students come from. The library of the college is one the largest and well stocked with a total of 8,800 books in the general library alone not to mention the individual departmental library to allow student have more resource to read. KMCPGS has acquired modern computer systems and laptops together with internet connectivity. The whole campus has Wi-Fi connection to allow easy and convenient use of the internet facilities. Since the institute is located at cyclical buffer it has provision of canteen so that students could purchase meal at subsidised rate. There are facilities for games and sport activities as well as gym to meet the needs of students’ health, besides there is an auditorium to conduct different events and seminars.

KMCPGS provides students with a total of 22 courses which are all, postgraduate full-time programmes. The number of students that the institute takes across it’s the various courses totals up to 931. The courses offered are generic to make sure that the students have a variety of programmes for specialising in at the post graduate level. The courses offered are M.Sc in Computer Science, Zoology, Physics, MA in English, Tamil, French, History, M.Com and so on.
