KMCPGS Puducherry Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The Department of Social Welfare, Government of Puducherry, runs a Boys' Hostel in the adjacent campus of this Centre where the SC/ST and economically backward OBC and MBC students are given free board and lodging.

The Working Women's hostel and Women's Hostel for SC/ST students situated near the institution cater to the needs of girls students.

The General Library houses about eight thousand and eight hundred (8800) books besides the individual departmental library books. The General Library is open to all students and staff of the Centre. The library is open on all working days from 9.30. a.m. to 4.30. p.m. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays and on other authorized holidays Each of the 12 Departments has the facility of the departmental library.

The Centre provides IT Infrastructure to the teaching staff, non- teaching staff, research scholars and students. Every department is provided with a sufficient number of computer systems/laptops with wired/wireless internet connectivity. The campus networking is built using fiber optic backbone and offers 40 Mbps connectivity under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme "National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology" (NMEICT). The entire Centre is Wi-Fi enabled.

The Government Health Centre, Lawspet, situated very near to the institution which takes care of students' health problems.

The institution brings the students from far-off villages at a concessional rate of Rs.200/- a year per student. The Government of Puducherry runs a number of special buses for students from almost all the corners of the Puducherry region. Separate buses are run for girls students also.
