Karshak B.Ed. College is an affiliated collegiate institution situated in Kamareddy, Telangana, founded in the year 2000 with the commitment to the training of teachers. This institute was established on NH-44 Road near the Indian Oil Mythri Petrol Bunk and just besides the Government Degree College, and it has been producing effective future educators for more than twenty years. Karshak B.Ed. College offers two full-time courses in education. Therefore, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) as well as a Diploma in Education (D.Ed) are offered. The B.Ed. programme which has a student intake capacity of one hundred students, is a two-year years programme aimed at producing graduates for secondary school teaching. The new programme is the D.Ed., which takes 50 students and is also a two-year course that trains teachers for primary education. Both programmes are designed to equip one with a clear understanding of theories in education, teaching methods, and actually how classrooms are managed. Considering the fact that there are only 150 seats for these two courses, the college bears a huge proportion of maintaining the demand of the qualified teachers in that region.
Karshak B.Ed. College follows admissions policies as dictated by the state government and the affiliated university, which is strict merit-based admissions. In the case of B.Ed programme, admissions are given strictly on merit of the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Likewise, a merit-based admission system is adopted for the D.Ed. programme also, where the achievement of the candidate in the qualifying examination or any other norms as per the state education policy.
