The Kashi Sahu College at Seraikella, came into existence in 1969, is one of the known colleges of Jharkhand state in India. As a constituent college of Kolhan University, Chaibasa we have been accredited by NAAC with ‘C’ grade. It has undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses for arts, commerce and science streams in its classrooms. Kashi Sahu College, having a campus size of 16 acres has a total student strength of 5692 students and it has a tranches of 17. The institute currently provides 25 courses spread across five degrees majoring in areas such as History, Political Science, Economics, Mathematics among others. Gender wise distribution is nearly equal with female students forming 53% and male students forming 47% of total strength.

Kashi Sahu College offers a range of services to improve the academic performance of its student d. It proud of its collection comprising of reference books, textbooks, journal and magazines, and digital databases. For the sports lover the college provides both indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as carom, chess, tennis, cricket and badminton. IT facilities include thirty five PCs and five laptops, well facilitated classrooms and wireless Internet connection throughout the campus. Science students are proficient in well-equipped laboratory that enhance their creativity and practical skills. There is also a college boys’ hostel with 60 beds and amenities for water and electricity round the clock.

In the same regard, student origin is primarily local as 99% of the students participate in the college activities.

For undergraduate programmes, candidates that apply should possess credit passes in Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of a recognised board. The college offers admission to various courses associated with arts, commerce and science such as B.A, B.com, B.Sc, M A. and M.com The college also provides scholarship to such students who merit it and scholarships are availed by a number of students.
