Located in Solapur, Maharashtra, Kasturbai College of Education and Adhyapak Vidyalaya is a prominent institution for the training of teachers. It was established in the year 1970. It is a co-educational college that has several programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the stream of education. The college is one among the affiliated colleges and adequately approved by the NCTE. This college enjoys a current enrolment of 133 students with a faculty strength of 12. This college-based compact campus of 0.64 acres provides 6 courses across 4-degree programmes in the realms of education and teacher training, with specialisations in more than one kind.

The number of total intake approved for all courses is 450 students, though the intake capacity for each of the courses differs. Admission at Kasturbai College of Education and Adhyapak Vidyalaya is based on merit, which is calculated by marks obtained at the qualifying examinations and/or entrance exams. The admission procedure to B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses is governed as per the state government or the UT administration policy, whereas in appointment, according to the M.Ed course, it is also conducted in order with the guidelines laid down by the state government, university or UT administration.
