Kathir College of Education, Coimbatore started in the year 2007 has grown to be one of the most sought after colleges that addresses the need quality education. This co-educational college is located at Neelambur, Coimbatore and the college is spread across a land of 6.02 acres. Kathir College of Education is a recognised college as per the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and therefore as an affiliated college the college provides quality teacher education. Over all the student enrolment of the institute is of 192 of which 16 are faculties which create a nice environment for learning to take place.

Kathir College of Education has made available a host of utilities aimed at making learning more effective for students. The rather well-stocked library containing 4,256 books spread over 17 journals and magazines is useful for academic studies. They provide a capacity seat of 50, free internet connection and printed media services are available. This institution currently provides only four full time courses in education to its learners. These are the undergraduate as well as the postgraduate programmes with specialisations within education field that aims to meet the market needs.

The admission criteria is based on marks secured in the qualifying examination and any entrance examination. For the B.Ed programme, the admission is given according to policy set by the state government/UT administration and the university.
