Katuri College of Nursing, Guntur, was set up in 2003 with a vision to nurture a renowned institution of nursing in Chinnakondrupadu, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. This is a co-ed college and offers a variety of nursing courses for students; it is affiliated with the Indian Nursing Council (INC). It is spread across 70 acres of area. The college currently offers a total of 220 students’ enrolment and 164 faculties and staff to enhance the learning atmosphere of health care students. Currently, Katuri College of Nursing offers one undergraduate course and two postgraduate programmes and provides specialisation in nursing education.
It has a corridor of facilities aimed at improving the learning facility and general growth of students. The campus has also provided different hostels for boys and girls so that those living on campus can be well provided for. A good library that is modern and well equipped should provide a knowledge base for each student and a variety of materials used in nursing. Katuri College of Nursing currently has three full-time programmes consisting of one undergraduate and two postgraduate specialities. In total, the college offers an intake of 220 students for all its programmes. The B.Sc. Nursing programme for which the college is most famous has an approved intake capacity of one hundred students. At the postgraduate level, the college offers M.Sc. programmes in Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing for 4 students and Child Health Nursing for 4 students. These courses are intended to come up with senior professional nurses equipped to handle the dynamism in the health sector.
