The KB Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research is one of the well-established pharmaceutical education institutions, founded in 1995. This institute has an area of 4.942 acres of land and is a co-educational institution situated at Gandhinagar in the state of Gujarat. It provides all types of pharmaceutical programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The KBIPER is an affiliate of All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, to ensure the quality maintenance of education. With a faculty strength of 38, the institute runs 14 courses in 4 degree programs with diversified specializations in pharmaceutical sciences.
KBIPER has well-equipped laboratories with instruments worth Rs. 2 Crores which assist students in their academic and personal development work experience hands-on. The Library is on the top floor, centrally air-conditioned and offers a seating capacity of more than 100 students with an excellent collection of books and e-resources worth more than Rs 1 crore. KBIPER has separate, in-campus hostel facilities for boys and girls who hail from out-of-town. The institute offers various pharmaceutical courses, that is, B.Pharma, M.Pharma with different specializations, Pharm.D, Pharm. D Post Baccalaureate, and Ph.D programs. According to the latest statistics available, it can be seen that a total of 689 students are present in KBIPER. Out of them, 59% comprises undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, which is 41%. B.Pharma holds a strength of 100 seats. There are 15 seats in each specialization of M.Pharma, and 30 seats for Pharm.D. There are 10 seats available in Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate.

The admission procedure varies with programs for KBIPER. In B.Pharma, the student qualified in GUJCET is preferred and eligible for scholarships offered by AICTE. For M.Pharma programme, institutes also prefer students qualified in GPAT who are eligible for AICTE scholarships. The institute offers many scholarship opportunities to the meritorious students for support.
