KBPG College, Mirzapur, is one of the premier institutions for higher education established in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This institution is situated at Musaffarganj, Mirzapur and it has been building characters and careers for several years. The college’s compound is extensive being 3.378 acres which are appropriate to foster education and development. Annually, KBPG College has registered a total of five thousand eighty five students and has 42 faculties, thus the college offers thirteen courses under five degree programmes. College goal to provide education to everyone is reflected by the programmes in college, which are in arts, sciences and education. 

An important area of accomplishment of KBPG College is in the provision of infrastructure that foster students’ improved learning outcomes. Lynch, the focus of these facilities is the Detrick Central Library, which was founded in 1969. One of the eight storey buildings where the university keeps more than 120,000 numbers of books, journals, magazines and periodicals in two storied building. The neighbouring reading room has the capacity to occupy more than 200 learners that call for a reading and study area. Besides, there are departmental libraries for those learners who have set their minds into certain specializations under the supervision of respective faculty. The institution offers 13 full time programmes which include undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. 

Undergraduate programmes include a BA programme with a total seat capacity of 840, B.Sc in Mathematics/Bio group with 150 and 50 respectively for a B.Ed programme. Post graduate courses in the college are Master of Arts (MA) in Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Political Science, Modern & Medieval History, Ancient History, Sociology, Education intaking 60 students each. Further, the college offers Masters in Chemistry programme for which there are 30 seats in M.Sc. 

At KBPG College, entry is mostly determined on merit. Every course involving BA, B.Sc, and MA, etc, offers its admission strictly on the basis of merit list reflected from the qualifying marks. That said, the B.Ed programme adopts slightly different procedure for any of the above outcomes to be achieved. The total intake capacity of this course is 60 students for each year of study and admission is offered to the students merit as per the marks secured in qualifying examination and/or entrance examination as per state government norms for admission and as per the directives of the university.
