KC Institute of Technology, Pandoga: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

KC Institute of Technology, Pandoga (KCIT) is an eminent institution primarily founded in the year 2010. This affiliated college is located in Una, Himachal Pradesh and the college has grown a lot in the technical education sector. KCIT is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), each course meets national educational quality. The institute teaches 5 courses as part of 2 degree programs, with disciplines based in engineering and management. Today the college has a total of 46 committed faculty members of KCIT who act as educators for their students. The excellence that the institute offers is matched with its vast course offerings like B.Tech in several disciplines of engineering and MBA.

KCIT possesses various up-to-date amenities to support students, although some of them were previously described. This is a three storey structure with an access to over 25000 volumes and many numbers of national and international journals along with xerox facilities available. For the sports lovers the institute has indoor and outdoor games facilities like badminton, table tennis, chess and carom, and playgrounds for cricket, football, hockey, volleyball and lawn tennis. The IT facilities are good for qualifying students’ technological requirements. A large canteen and soft drink parlor meet the food needs, and a large auditorium is used for programmes and seminars, etc. The institute also has the transport facilities to connect several more nearby areas thereby ensuring communication facility for the students. Another advantage of studying here is free access to the internet, effectively equipped laboratories and even an on campus cash-point. For those Students from other towns and regions, there are hostel facilities for boys and girls with most necessary amenities and security features.

At current, there are a total of 5 courses offered at the institute; 4 B.Tech full time and 1 MBA. The B.Tech programs offered by the Institute are Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering along with Computer Science and Engineering disciplines Currently a MBA program for the management professional is offered by the institute. The total number of intake eligibility approved for these courses are 270 where 60 intakes are provided for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering for MBA and 30 for Electrical Engineering.

The admission procedure prevalent in KC Institute of Technology is highly focused on the Joint Entrance Examination Main such exam being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE New Delhi. For B.Tech programs, candidates seeking admission must secure at least 10% of the total percentage for the General Category while SC, ST, OBC and other sub-reserve categories of the General Category as per JEE Main. They do not interfere in decision making over the admissions and strictly admitted the students on the ground of rank/marks secured in JEE Main. 

This criterion is equally relevant to all the B.Tech courses among which are civil engineering, electrical Engineering, mechanical engineering and computer Science and Engineering. The institute accepts government standard in admitting the students, following the letter No. EDN (TE) A (1) – 1/2005 dated 2-7-2008.
